Can You Believe it’s Nearly May?

Did you know that May is named after the Greek goddess Maia who looked after plants? That is why we are offering you the opportunity to celebrate May by joining Emily from Bunnings, here at the Community House to create your own Kokedama.

Kokedama is a ball of soil, covered with moss, from which an ornamental plant grows. The idea has its origins in Japan, where it is a combination of the nearai bonsai and kusamono planting styles. Today, Kokedama is very popular in Japanese gardens.

This is a free activity on 27th May beginning at 1.30. Call Vicki or Nic at the House for more information or click here to book online.
